LEARNING
FOR ALL AGESBlessed
Beginnings Preschool
Trinity
Lutheran Church's Blessed Beginnings Preschool offers children age-appropriate
opportunities to discover their own unique places in God's wonderful world. Within
our loving Christ and family-centered environment, children confidently develop
their spiritual, social, physical, creative, intellectual and emotional selves...
the early foundation on which they can build lifetime success! ALL ARE WELCOME!
Children do not have to be Lutheran to attend our preschool. We encourage faith,
ethnic and cultural diversity. It makes our program richer! Enrollments are accepted
as space allows. Seasons of the Spirit Sunday School is for
preschool to 6th grade. This is a scripturally focused program that uses the
reading for Sunday worship each week. Students will not be permitted to leave
the Sunday School floor unattended and will be released after classes to a parent
or guardian. 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Our lessons this
year focus on the New Testament. A lesson plan will be provided or you are
free to do a lesson about your favorite New Testament story. Remember the
song “Tell Me the Stories of Jesus”? That is what this year will
be all about. Please consider coming and sharing your favorite story with
the Confirmands.
Amy and Brian Croegaert have begun this new group and
invite you on Sundays to worship with them or your family at 10:30 and then
have lunch and learn in the Lounge until 1:00 p.m. Suggested donation: $3.00
LEARNING
FOR ADULTS (all year 'round) - 9 AM and 10:30 AM!
From the Children and Families Minister's
Desk
In getting ready to “rest” (whether it be something short like a
good night’s rest, or a week end visit to Denver to see my daughter, or
helping in the preparation for Pastor Laura’s three month Sabbatical to
study) I have found it takes time, effort, and a need to be refreshed to
come back and catch up with everything that I missed while I was gone. Each
staff member is keeping a Continuity Report for Pastor Laura in order to
make her transition a little easier when she returns. It has been
challenging to sort out the day’s events.
However, after reflecting in both my adult and children’s
Sabbatical Journals and going to both Pastor Larry’s (Monday night at 6:30
at Fireworks) and Companions (Tuesdays at 4:00 in the Lounge), I understand
more clearly how rest is indeed
part of the Lord’s plan and gift to help sustain us all.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to work in the journals or read
the book SABBATH, there is still time before Pastor Laura returns on August
1. Also, please come with your family and friends to either the 9 or 10:30
Sunday school class on July 11. We will be sharing and practicing different
approaches to praying that might prove to be of additional interest to the
meaning of Sabbath
See you in church and beyond its doors,
Jennifer
Church Safety Policies for Children:
Now that the Church Safe Nursery Policy is in effect, children over five years
of age supervision recommendations have been suggested by the Christian Education
Ministry Team (CEMT) and approved by the Trinity Lutheran Church Council:
It is suggested, for the welfare and safety of children over five years of age
who are present at Trinity Lutheran Church while their parent or guardian is attending
a meeting/function, that the child be stationed as close to the adult as possible.
Our first choice would be to keep the child/children in the same room as the gathering.
If this is not possible, children should be in a room close to the meeting room.
The church library, if not in use, may also be an option. It is equipped with
a TV, VCR, DVD player, and choices of literature that are age appropriate.
As with the usage of all rooms for all events, please leave the room in the same
condition as it was found.
When two or more children are in attendance
every effort can be made to provide a sitter, if needed. Please contact me at least two days in advance for this request. Jesus loves
the little children and so do we at Trinity! Jennifer |
