Ministries

LYO (Lutheran Youth Organization)

The LYO Ministry Team is caring adults who are committed to providing guidance and support to the High School youth of Trinity so that they may grow in faith through fellowship, service, peer support, leadership, and faith building experiences.

Trinity's Church Council

The Congregation Council consists of twelve congregational members plus the pastors who have general oversight of the life and activities of this congregation, and in particular its worship life, to the end that everything be done in accordance with the Word of God and the faith and practice of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

The council does long-range planning, sets goals and priorities, and evaluates activities in light of its mission and goals. It seeks to involve all members of the congregation in worship, learning, witness, service, and support. It is also charged to oversee and provide for the administration of this congregation to enable it to fulfill its functions and perform its mission.

Blessed Beginnings Preschool

Trinity Lutheran Church's Blessed Beginnings Preschool offers children age-appropriate opportunities to discover their own unique places in God's wonderful world. Within our loving Christ and family-centered environment, children confidently develop their spiritual, social, physical, creative, intellectual and
emotional selves... the early foundation on which they can build lifetime success!
ALL ARE WELCOME! Children do not have to be Lutheran to attend our preschool. We encourage faith, ethnic and cultural diversity. It makes our program richer! Enrollments are accepted as space allows.

WELCA (Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America)

As a community of women, created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, society, and the world.

Global Mission

Trinity's mission statement, "To Praise God, Serve Christ, and Love One Another," applies to all of Trinity's ministries. To accomplish this for Global Mission Ministry, Trinity is involved in helping, proclaiming, caring and sharing in this country and throughout all the world. Trinity lives its mission statement through the development and implementation of global mission projects that benefit God's people all over the world.

Social Action

The Social Action Ministry (SAM) team seeks to educate, challenge, encourage and provide opportunities for the congregation to demonstrate Christ's response to social needs and injustices and thus move people toward Christ. The team is organized into sub-teams involved with hunger, housing, prison ministry, education and communication, social justice and community partnerships.

Wellness

This ministry team supports the Health/Wellness ministry of the church by providing activities that address health issues in a holistic manner.

Member Care

Member Care supports Trinity members who are in need due to health problems or who are experiencing difficult and stressful times. These needs are met with compassion, support, care, and love plus cards and telephone calls of encouragement to members.

Earth Keepers

We are people of faith called to be stewards of creation through education, advocacy, and actions which protect, restore and celebrate the earth and its resources through ministry in our homes, congregations, and world.

Endowment

The Trinity Lutheran Church Endowment fund was established in 1986. It distributes grants in four areas: The church, the community, scholarship, and missions of the ELCA. Over the years, more than one million dollars have been provided to these causes.
